Network technology has changed greatly since the advent of digital transformation, as businesses stray away from traditional networks and gravitate towards cloud-native networks. The transition comes at a time where the business world is shifting towards remote/mobile work.  Today, almost half of the workforce is expected to be mobile in some form. As technology use along with remote work continues to rise, cloud-native networks are set to become commonplace for enterprises in all industries.

Many organizations have already made the shift to the cloud. By the end of 2022, U.S. cloud spending is expected to reach $90 billion, a 27.8 percent growth compared to 2021. Globally, the technology is expected to boom as well, with the worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services forecast to grow 20.4 percent in 2022 to total $494.7 billion, up from $410.9 billion in 2021, according to the latest forecast from Gartner, Inc. On top of this, in 2023, end-user spending is expected to reach nearly $600 billion.

The swift growth is not unexpected, as cloud networks offer benefits to a wide range of functions, being able to offer advantages in relation to cost, speed, reliability, productivity, performance, and security, enhancing each aspect individually to benefit the company. However, adopting a cloud network isn’t all positive, as many enterprises that leverage the technology today have run into problems pertaining to network observability.

“While teams can troubleshoot network issues with management and monitoring, network observability can provide a more thorough assessment of the network,” said Indrajit Ghosh, CEO of ConnX. “When teams observe a network, they aim to understand how a problem occurred, how to correct the issue, and how to improve the network to prevent future errors from occurring. However, with the complex nature of a cloud-native network, network observability has become tougher than ever.”

For instance, 75 percent of companies wrestle with overwhelming “data noise.” Without the resources and support they need, 85 percent struggle to quickly cut through the noise to identify root causes of performance issues. Furthermore, 96 percent face negative consequences of not having genuine visibility and insight into the performance of the whole technology stack, making observability crucial to negate these consequences.

Because of this, organizations are now increasingly looking for innovative devices and applications that can help enhance the observability of cloud networks. The most notable piece of technology enterprises finds making a difference against the problem is artificial intelligence for IT operations platforms, better known as AI Ops platforms.

“AI Ops platforms utilize big data, modern machine learning, and other advanced analytics technologies to, directly and indirectly, enhance IT operations,” Ghosh explained. “This includes monitoring, automation, and service desk functions with proactive, personal, and dynamic insight. They also enable the concurrent use of multiple data sources, data collection methods, real-time and deep analytics, and presentation technologies.”

The global market for AI Ops is estimated to grow from $3.0 billion in 2021 to reach $9.4 billion by 2026. The technology, though relatively new, is already growing rapidly, as enterprises look to learn more, and improve their cloud network observability.

This topic of cloud network observability and AI Ops platforms is the topic of discussion in an upcoming webinar titled “Achieving End-to-End Network Observability in 2022,” hosted by ConnX and its partner Juniper Networks.

The webinar panel of speakers will consist of Jon Howes, GTM Strategy Leader for the AI-Driven Enterprise at Juniper Networks, Indrajit Ghosh, CEO at ConnX, and Ali Carroll, Product Marketing Manager at Juniper Networks. The three will tackle subject matter such as how enterprise networks have changed in recent years, why end-to-end observability is so critical today, and how AIOps can positively impact a network.

The webinar will be taking place Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, at 11 A.M. EST. Chief, executive, and director-level IT and business leaders who wish to adopt or educate themselves on cloud networks, network observability, and AI Ops, should attend this key educational session.

The MSP industry has come a very long way in a relatively short time. What was essentially an IT reseller role to provide and install and manage a specific application has evolved into MSPs becoming an integral part of a company’s IT provisioning and support network. This has allowed the industry to quickly become one of the most critical business sectors thanks to their adept understanding of the innovative technology available.
